5 Dollar Shuttle to North Shore
Explore Oʻahu’s North Shore for Just $5 Roundtrip!
The North Shore Huakaʻi, which launched on June 29, 2026, offers a $5 roundtrip shuttle from Waikīkī to Haleʻiwa and Waialua. Even better, the program was created to support North Shore businesses and families as they continue recovering from the March 2026 Kona Low storms. Planning a day trip to Oʻahu’s North Shore from The Imperial Hawaiʻi Resort just got a lot easier. For years, visiting Haleʻiwa meant renting a car, navigating traffic, and hoping to find parking once you arrived. Now, a new option makes exploring the North Shore both affordable and stress-free.
This is a pilot program that began on June 29, 2026, and may only be available through September 2026, depending on overall interest and response. Website reservations are expected to fill quickly, and availability may be limited. This is a fun and exciting new opportunity, and we wanted to share the information with you. Please note that the program could end at any time.

One Important Thing to Know
To board the return shuttle, passengers must show proof of a purchase from a participating North Shore business. The idea is simple: enjoy lunch, grab a coffee, pick up a souvenir, or treat yourself to shave ice and keep your receipt. Most visitors already plan to support local businesses during their North Shore adventure, and this small requirement helps ensure that tourism directly benefits the community.
Whether you’re craving garlic shrimp, browsing Haleʻiwa’s charming boutiques, or simply looking for a relaxing day beyond Waikīkī, the North Shore Huakaʻi offers one of the easiest and most affordable ways to explore another side of Oʻahu during your stay at The Imperial Hawaiʻi Resort.
