About Us

The Imperial is located at 205 Lewers Street, just one block from Waikiki beach and is considered a prime location due to its proximity to shopping, dining, and other hotels and facilities.  The building was originally built as a hotel in 1967 by Henry Kaiser, a local developer.  During that time it was called Coconut Grove Hotel.

 

 

The Imperial is 27 stories with 270 residential units.The timeshare club was started in 1980 and at the time, was the largest timeshare project in the state. The Club consists of 248 of the apartments with 52 time share intervals per apartment for a total of 12,896 intervals. Timeshare club members purchase their interval as a real estate interest and pay an annual maintenance fee similar to a condominium owner.

Each association is made up of owners of condominium apartments or intervals respectively. Each organization has a board of directors which elects officers. Both associations are self-managed by employees hired by the officers and directors.

HOUSE RULES

AGE REQUIREMENT POLICY

Guests must be 18 years or older with valid government issued identification to reserve and to check in to a guestroom.

CANCELLATIONS AND/OR CHANGES ON EXISTING RESERVATIONS

Changes and/or cancellations must be received 5 days prior to arrival for rental reservations and 14 days prior to arrival of Timeshare reservations, otherwise, a one night's charge will be assessed for rental reservations or the Timeshare member use week may be forfeited. We reserve the right to cancel any reservations without a guaranteed deposit and if necessary, to provide guests (for all or any part of the reservation length) with accommodations in alternate hotels in rooms of equal or superior quality to those reserved. All reservations may be subject to labor strikes, acts of nature, failure of existing guests to vacate as scheduled or other conditions beyond the control of the Resort. Checks should be made payable to: Imperial Hawaii Resort.

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT TIMES

Check in: 4:00 PM     Check out: 11:00 AM 
 

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD POLICY

Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The $100 authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 7-10 business days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the resort will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.

DRUG FREE ZONE

The Imperial Hawaii Resort is a Drug Free Establishment with a zero tolerance policy. Please insure you and your guests are aware of this policy as it relates to illegal drugs and that any violations could result in immediate eviction.

FEES AND TAXES

A required $8/daily Resort Fee + tax will be charged to your room.  The Resort Fee includes the use of the in-suite safe, unlimited local and toll free calls and use of the exercise room.   The combination of Hawaii State Tax and Hawaii Transient Accommodation Tax is 13.96%.  Rates, Fees, Charges and Taxes are subject to change with or without notice.

QUIET HOURS

In consideration of other guests, please recognize our quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am.

PARKING

We offer Valet parking only. $25 + tax per day.

PAYMENT POLICY

If paying with cash; a deposit equal to the room per day, tax and $250 USD towards incidentals will be collected at check-in.

PET POLICY

Pets are not allowed on property with the exception of Service Animals.

SMOKING POLICY

The resort is 100% smoke free. There are designated smoking areas outside of the building. A $250 per day cleaning fee will be charged to the guest’s account should smoking occur anywhere inside the resort.
